The USGA has teamed up with the R&A to put together the World Handicap System. The system transcends national and continental boundaries to connect the world of golfers into a single, unified network. Golfers will be able to transport their handicap indexes globally and compete or play a casual round with players from around the world.
If you have had a GHIN handicap, those handicaps and scores will be able to be transferred directly into the World Handicap System. You will still be able to post scores from your clubs computer, online or from the mobile app.
With the new system, handicaps will be updated every day at midnight. All participating golfers must have an active email address to have a recorded handicap.
Canyon Springs will keep you posted with email updates out as we get more information. If you do not already receive emails updates, sign up for our newsletter and we will add you to our VIP list.
