The Idaho Seniors Golf Association is coming to Canyon Springs for one of the best senior events of the year. Players from all across the state are ready to rumble and test their skills in the Canyon. The weather is going to be fantastic and the golf course is in great shape. Canyon Springs would like to welcome some of Idaho's finest seasoned golfer to one of the best senior events of the year. The Snake River Seniors Cup consists of both an individual and team competition. Men ages 60 and up from south central and eastern Idaho come together to play some of Idaho's finest tracks and compete using the Chicago format. Teams include Highland, Riverside, Blackfoot, Preston, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls/Burley. Chicago is a point scoring system where you can receive points on each hole depending on your score. The scoring looks like this... Eagle - 8 points Birdie - 4 points Par - 2 points Bogey - 1 point Double Bogie or worse - 0 points Each players quota (point goal) is determined by taking 39 and subtracting their handicap. For example: 39 - 15.2 Handicap = 23.8 quota If their end of the round point total was 25, their final score would be +1.2 Teams include: Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, Riverside, Highland, Preston, Rigby, Twin Falls/Burley SNAKE RIVER SENIORS Date: Wednesday, April 23th Participants: Age 60 and Up Format: Chicago Entry Fee: $60 - Includes Golf, Cart & Deuce Pot Association Fee: $25 All seniors are welcome to join the Snake River Seniors association and play with them throughout the season. Presented by Jordan Gentry Financial Planner The 2025 golf season gets kicked of with the ICE CUBE CUP on Saturday, March 22nd. This field consists of 2 person teams playing 27 holes in one day. The format will be 9 Holes Scramble, 9 Holes Best Ball & 9 Holes Alternate-Shot. The field is limited to the first 48 teams and once again this year it we have a full field. Players are fired up ready to kick the year off! Date: Saturday, March 22nd Time: 10:00 Shotgun Entry Fee: $150 per team Format: 27 Holes - 9 Holes Scramble - 9 Holes Best Ball - 9 Holes Alternate-Shot Divisions: Men's - Ladies - Couples Dinner: Lunch included between the 2nd and 3rd 9 Holes All divisions will be combined to create 4 flight. In other words men, ladies and couple will be combined. Flights will be determined by the low handicap in each flight. Good luck to all the players...
